Inner focusing mechanism

With an inner focusing mechanism, the front of the lens does not rotate or extend during focusing. This helps users work with filters including polarisers and neutral density graduates.

F2.8 maximum aperture

The XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR has a maximum aperture of F2.8 throughout the range, which is great for limiting depth-of-field and is also very useful for working in low-light conditions.

Weather-resistant design

A number of rubber seals used throughout the construction of the XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR means that it can be used in all weathers. The seals repel moisture and dust, plus they also protect the lens from low temperatures. Thanks to these seals, this flagship zoom will continue to work perfectly in temperatures as low as -10°C.
